About
HealthTech Design Studio is the Liverpool City Region’s design capability for health – working with communities, clinicians, and system partners to turn real health challenges into validated, investable health products and services.
Launching in phases, the programme will combine grant funding, entrepreneurship support, collaborative workshops and community-led challenge development to create a stronger pipeline of healthtech innovation.

How the HealthTech Design Studio Works
Building on the previous work of the Civic Data Cooperative, the HealthTech Design Studio will also help identify and validate priority health and care challenges through:

Structured co-design workshops
This approach will ensure innovation activity is shaped by real community, clinical and system needs.
A Phased Launch
The HealthTech Design Studio will continue to launch in phases, with new programmes and support offers introduced over time. Further details on funding opportunities, workshops and participation will be announced soon.

LCR Health Innovation Challenge Event
Our first in-person event brings together innovators, researchers, clinicians, businesses, commissioners and citizens from across the Liverpool City Region. Join us on July 15 at The Spine in Liverpool for a day dedicated to tackling real-world health and care challenges through innovation.
Through keynote talks, workshops and networking opportunities, the LCR Health Innovation Challenge Day will help participants explore new ideas, build valuable connections and discover opportunities for collaboration across the region's health innovation ecosystem.
