Prove your technology
in real-world adult social care settings

Work with the University of Liverpool, National Care Forum and adult social care providers in the Liverpool City Region to undertake user testing, refine your product, generate real world evidence and accelerate adoption.

About

Adult social care services in the UK are under increasing pressure, with growing demand, an ageing population and more complex needs. At the same time, broad-ranging technologies could enable the delivery of new care services, augment traditional approaches, reduce the time staff spend on admin and compliance, whilst safeguarding people who draw on care, and improve the quality of care provided.

Many care technologies struggle to find a route to market. Limited access to care settings, professionals and people who draw on care result in new developers having to approach commissioners and providers with unproven technologies. This makes it difficult to demonstrate product safety, efficacy and potential to enable high quality care provision.

The trials engine associated with our Adult Social Care Testbed, established in partnership with the National Care Forum, is explicitly designed to address this gap in the infrastructure needed to support and enable the sector’s digital transformation. We bring together care providers, researchers and technology partners and support the co-design, development, testing and evaluation of innovative solutions in real care environments.

By working within the Testbed, organisations can generate meaningful evidence, understand how their technology performs in practice, and build a stronger case for adoption amongst commissioners and providers.
